General Services of CDC

Our comprehensive career development services help people at all stages of their careers, from students, alumni, and fresh graduates to seasoned professionals looking for new opportunities.

Career Competency Education

Individuals will be equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviours to flourish in an ever-changing workplace. Its goal is to help students to succeed in their chosen career routes by emphasising the development of critical qualities in both soft and practical skills.

Career Development Seminars and Workshops

This is a series of seminars and/or workshops aimed at enhancing graduating students’ employability. The office coordinates with industry partners to deliver programs focused on enhancing the professional skills of students.

Workforce Essentials and Employment Readiness

Equipping individuals with the fundamental skills and knowledge essential for workforce success, ensuring they meet employer expectations and excel in today’s job market. This includes helping with the acquisition of basic employment requirements, offering job opportunities through Job Board platforms, and providing career advising to support professional development.

Career Placement Program

These are activities aimed at assisting graduating students in securing employment, from obtaining necessary employment requirements to providing opportunities to connect with potential employers and exploring diverse career opportunities.

Industry Career Board

Alumni and graduating students can view listings of full-time jobs and internship opportunities from industry partners providing a valuable platform for career advancement, connecting students and alumni with potential employers, and propelling or advancing their professional journey.

Career Information

A curated campus bulletin board of employment and internship opportunities from industry partners, detailing relevant information such as requirements, job descriptions, and contact details.

Industry Partnership Program

Connecting academics with the professional world, we link talented individuals to employers through career and job fairs, offering direct access to opportunities. Our academic and placement partnership programs ensure students and graduates gain relevant skills, meet labor market needs, and transition smoothly into successful careers.

Career or Job Fair

A bi-annual career fair will be conducted in partnership with the UC-BCF Alumni Association Inc. that involve top companies, industries, and employers giving graduating students and alumni an opportunity to connect with potential employers and explore diverse career opportunities.

External Relations

This program seeks partnerships with local and multi-national companies and other institutions who are potential employers for UC graduates providing them a wide range of internship and employment opportunities. Through Memorandums of Agreement or Understanding, students also gain valuable insights and build professional networks.

Alumni Engagement Program

Strengthening connections with our alumni through ongoing engagement and collaboration. We offer various opportunities for alumni to contribute, network, and share their expertise with current students, creating a vibrant community that fosters mentorship, professional growth, and lasting relationships.

Career Coaching and Mentoring Sessions

In partnership with the Guidance and Counseling Office and UC-BCF Alumni Association, the program assists students in the decision-making process for their future educational and career paths through career testing and partnering with experienced alumni for mentorship.

Alumni Tracer Studies

Share experiences through the Alumni Tracer and Alumni Satisfaction survey questionnaires to enhance educational and curricular development, inspiring future generations.
