UC Students Explore Study Abroad Pathways at the Aussie Pinoy Info Session 2025

On May 8, 2025, at the university Auditorium, students from the different colleges attended the Aussie Pinoy Information Session 2025, from 1PM to 5PM. Registration was opened at 12:30PM, with the main program officially starting at 1:15PM. This activity aimed to guide students in exploring study abroad pathways and make informed decisions about their global academic journey. This also aligns with the center’s commitment to providing resources and opportunities to UCians to empower them in their career paths.

The event gathered UC students from different colleges and was organized in collaboration with AussiePinoyEdu.Com Corp, featuring various in-country representatives from universities across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, as well as a representative from IELTS – British Council.

Ms. Rosario “Tita” Marzo, AussiePinoyEdu.com Corp director, delivered the welcome remarks, excitedly giving a preview on what to expect from the activity. She highlighted that presentations from the guest representatives from the different universities in Australia, New Zealand and Canada will guide the participants in their decision making in case they pursue international studies.

The representatives then conducted interactive sessions, presenting their institutions’ programs, advantages, and opportunities for international students:

  1. IELTS British Council – Ms. Raquel Fabila
  2. Deakin University – Mr. Jaz Estrada
  3. Macquire University – Ms. Omu Camus
  4. Australian Catholic University – Ms. Jacqueline Marie G. Millado
  5. University of Southern Queensland – Ms. Karen Cate E. Adanza
  6. Navitas – Ms. Ozara Mae Siao
  7. Adventus i.o – Mr. Johnny Ocuaman

A question-and-answer portion followed, addressing the students’ inquiries about studying abroad. To formally close the program, Ms. Marzo delivered the closing remarks. Afterwards, the university representatives remained for an open table session, giving students the chance to engage in further one-on-one discussions.
